On the Luz presents ~ Grazalema
Yet another pueblo blanco, Grazalema sits high in the Sierra del Endrinal and is dominated by the rugged rocky outcrop known as Peņon Grande. These limestone mountains have the reputation as being the wettest place in Spain which accounts for the lush vegetation in the surrounding countryside.

Established in Moorish times by Berber settlers who introduced sheep to graze the plentiful mountain pastures, Grazalema became famous for producing woollen blankets and ponchos.
