On the Luz presents ~ Ronda
On a stunning plateau in the mountains of Malaga Province, Ronda is renowned for El Tajo, a precipitous gorge across the River Guadalevín, which divides the medieval from the 18th century parts of the town. Ronda's position on its sandstone outcrop meant it was one of the last towns to fall to the Christian armies.

Ronda's bullring, the oldest in Spain, brought such luminaries as Orson Wells and Ernest Hemmingway to the town and began the celebrity which continues unabated; the town attracts a lot of day-trippers from the Costa del Sol and is best seen in the late afternoon early evening after they've taken their coaches back down to the seaside!
